Liverpool have drawn with Porto in their Champions League opening game. The full time score of the UEFA Champions League group A clash was Liverpool 1-1 Porto.

The game was filled with very entertaining football in the first half, with an early goal for Porto after Gonzalez converted a penalty.

Liverpool were quick to reply to Porto and managed Dirk Kuyt Managed to score a goal to put the score at 1-1 for both teams in their Champions League clash.

In the second half Liverpool player Jermaine Penant got sent off for an indecent foul on a Porto player, receiving his second yellow which became a red card.

Liverpool will be happy with the result at the Porto and take one point away with them. The next time Liverpool and Porto meet in the UEFA Champions League will be at Anfield, where Liverpool will be confident to win.

Liverpool have managed to defeat Toulouse with a score of 4-0, in their Champions League Qualifying match, in Anfield on Tuesday night.

Despite Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher missing from the side, the Reds playing an amazing game, with two goals from Dirk Kuyt, and one from both Peter Crouch and Sami Hyypia.
